Store flat or hanging.
Kinks can develop in the thread if the earrings are stored incorrectly for too long. Most kinks will work their way out with wear. You can encourage the kinks to settle by gently massaging/moving the piece.
Don't store in direct sunlight.
Mosy beads are colourfast but some may fade with time especially if stored in direct sunlight or frequently exposed to chemicals like perfume or sweat.
Keep away from high heat.
This includes blow dryers and hair straighteners. The beads can handle higher temperatures but the thread is either 4lb fishing line or nylon thread, both of which can shrink, stretch, warp or break at high temperatires. Simply put your earrings on after styling your hair.
Keep away from harsh chemicals.
Including chlorine, hairspray, perfume and sunscreen. The pieces won't instantly break upon touching these chemicals but as with all jewellery, the longevity of the item may be impacted with repeated exposure. I would not recommend wearing your item while swimming in chlorinated or salt water. Items can be gently rinsed with baby soap and lukewarm water. Dry hanging.
Beads can break with enough force.
Treat your item like you would any fine jewellery piece. I use the highest quality Miyuki Delica or Rocaille beads but they are still made of glass. If they get smashed or crushed, the beads may break. Please reach out if this happens.
